Types of batteries

Batteries made with cutting edge AGM and EFB technologies, which are perfect for vehicles with the highest demand for power.

Production of these batteries is based on the use of calcium (CA/CA) in the construction of battery plates (electrodes), which ensures low water consumption. Using such a battery does not require maintenance, consisting of topping-up the liquid (aqueous solution of sulphuric acid – density 1.28 g/cm3, content 38%), therefore such batteries are called maintenance-free.

ENRG is a dozen of products (SLI) Starting, Lighting, Ignition made in calcium CA/CA technology, which allows for complete maintenance-free product used in modern vehicles.

The SLI marking refers to the basic functions of motor vehicles:

  • Starting – engine start (cranking),
  • Lighting – lighting and electronics (power supply),
  • Ignition – vehicle electrics (storing electric energy).

A very important element influencing the quality of a battery is its correct selection in terms of capacity, but also technology of production. Motorization is developing extremely rapidly and the electrical needs of today’s conventional vehicles are very demanding.

SLI batteries:

  • maintenance free,
  • CA/CA technology,
  • grids made using most modern punching technology (highest quality and high production repeatability),
  • high, reliable starting current,
  • manufactured in Europe,
  • plug & play,
  • modern design,
  • ergonomic handles,
  • closed, sealed and airtight construction,
  • no access to electrolyte (no need to top up),
  • central breather in the cap,
  • complies with the highest and latest EN standards,
  • manufactured with care for the environment,
  • wide range of products to suit the vehicle fleet.

A product with improved active mass composition of the battery plates and optimised electric charge absorbing capacity. Batteries made with EFB technology are the answer to the dynamic development of the automotive market worldwide and to the demand of cars that require a batteries that can stand greater number of cycles. This is closely related to the design of today’s vehicles.

ENRG also stands for Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) products. The EFB starting battery has a modified product chemical composition and additional plate insulation against chemical sulphation. Our range of ENRG batteries made with the latest EFB technology for Start&Stop vehicles comprises five units, covering the majority of European aftermarket demand.

The ENRG (EFB)* lead-acid is:

  • Comfort – basic equipment (electric windows, air conditioning),
  • Safety – electronic systems (ABS, ESP, BLIS, LAA, ACC and TSR),
  • Ecology – Start&Stop system (EBS, BMS).

The innovative electronic systems EBS (Electronic Battery Sensor) and BMS (Battery Management System) are systems adapted to the current ecological requirements. Their purpose is to manage the electrical balance of the vehicle battery in such a way as to optimise its functioning and guarantee trouble-free operation. The Start&Stop system used in vehicles is a challenge for battery manufacturers, but products made with EFB technology meet all these challenges.

EFB batteries:

  • maintenance free,
  • CA/CA technology,
  • grids made using most modern punching technology (highest quality and high production repeatability),
  • high, reliable starting current,
  • manufactured in Europe,
  • plug & play,
  • modern design,
  • ergonomic handles,
  • closed, sealed and airtight construction,
  • no access to electrolyte (no need to top up),
  • central breather in the cap,
  • complies with the highest and latest EN standards,
  • manufactured with care for the environment,
  • wide range of products to suit the vehicle fleet,
  • increased number of cycles,
  • perfect for vehicles with basic S&S system (without recuperation),
  • perfect for vehicles with higher electricity demand with additional electric devices and accessories,
  • perfect for vehicles with advanced safety, comfort and communication systems,
  • perfect for vehicles that are intensively used in cities.

ENRG (AGM / Absorbent Glass Mat)* lead-acid – Absorbent Glass Mat

A battery made with trapped electrolyte technology. The low level of internal resistance makes it possible to use it in very technically advanced Start&Stop systems, equipped with charging systems based on recuperation of electrical energy from the braking force. Recuperation systems recover kinetic energy (KERS – Kinetic Energy Recovery System), converting it into electrical energy to supply additional power to the battery and devices.

ENRG made in the (AGM) Absorbent Glass Mat technology – with Glass Fibre Insulation. This battery is dedicated to the highest class cars, equipped with Start&Stop system and such which have more than basic technical solutions.

Batteries produced in AGM ENRG technology are very similar to those used by vehicle manufacturers for the first assembly.

The quality of ENRG batteries in the five basic capacity types (AH) is the highest level of reliability and electrical performance:

  • Battery 60Ah/660A (Right+ Std.) 242x175x190 B13 AGM
  • Battery 70Ah/720A (R+ Std.) 278x175x190 B13 AGM
  • Battery 80Ah/760A (R+ Std.) 315x175x190 B13 AGM
  • Battery 95Ah/810A (R+ Std.) 353x175x190 B13 AGM
  • Battery 105Ah/910A (R+ Std.) 393x175x190 B13 AGM

AGM products are used in vehicles which, in addition to a Start&Stop system, feature extensive comfort and safety equipment. Batteries based on the absorbed electrolyte technology are also much suitable for conventional vehicles and urban vehicles that seldom travel long distances and are equipped with such additional devices as heated seats and full driver assistance electrics.

ENRG AMG quality products provide solutions for demanding passenger and commercial vehicle users.
